Fuel Proof Ltd is the leading supplier of fuel storage equipment and services to the commercial fuel industry across the UK and beyond.
Due to our continued expansion, we're now looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover our customers' sites across the UK. This would involve servicing and maintaining fuel pumps, dispensers and tank gauges, and carrying out IBC testing and inspections.
Good communication skills and a can-do attitude are both key to this role, the successful service engineer will advise customers on hardware upgrades, creating potential leads for our Sales & Service team.
This role requires travelling and overnight stays Monday to Friday. Company van and hotel & meal allowance will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
Diagnostic Testing and Repairs
: Perform daily diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of customer equipment.
Installation and Commissioning
: Install and commission new equipment.
Customer Relationship Management
: Maintain and enhance customer relationships.
Service Reporting
: Produce timely and accurate service reports.
Prompt Call Attendance
: Ensure all calls are attended promptly and within agreed times.
Equipment Maintenance
: Ensure all company equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Compliance
: Adhere to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) guidelines.
Skills & abilities required for this position (essential):
Technical Awareness
: Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, including the ability to voltage test AC/DC single and three-phase supplies.
Proficiency with Hand Tools
: Confident use of hand tools.
Customer Service Skills
: Ability to interact confidently and professionally with customers.
Flexibility and Teamwork
: Capability to work independently or as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
Communication Skills
: Strong communication with both field- and office-based service teams, including escalation of issues.
IT and Networking Knowledge
: Understanding of PC hardware, networking, and IT troubleshooting.
