Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services for our products. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. This role will be split into workshop based and site based. It will involve both assembling, testing and signing off equipment at the factory and then providing installation and commissioning services.

Duties

Work as a team to build, wire and test our automatic packaging machinery at our factory Be involved in the continuous improvement of our machinery from a build and service perspective. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing timely solutions to customers. Install new equipment and ensure proper functionality upon completion. Provide training and support to customers on the use of equipment and software. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with other team members to improve service processes and customer experience. Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices in service engineering.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role in a technical field. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting purposes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel to client sites. Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field are advantageous but not mandatory.
