We are supporting various customers worldwide. We are recruiting for a Service Engineering Specialist.



Focused on managing service engineering deliverables to support successful vehicle launch including concern identification, tracking and resolution for existing and future products. This work requires interaction with other areas of the OEM's business, including internal partners such as Product Development, Program Management and Marketing.



This is a UK role based in Essex coordinating with other global regions and partners as required.


Roles and Responsibilities



Provide service information that: + Is consistently organized and time efficient
+ Contains accurate specifications
+ Contains all necessary information as defined in authoring standards
+ Is representative of real world technician repair methods
Monitor and understand all vehicle content, planned changes and the associated timing. Meet all timing deadlines Proactively communicate project status, concerns and issues to the appropriate personnel. Co-author service information with functional engineering and vehicle development program champions Handle ad-hoc requirements which may arise in service engineering arena Act as SPOC to support F2F meetings as required working effectively in a remote hybrid working pattern to build trust and develop a close working relationship with the vehicle development team Develop and deliver dealer PDI checklist Develop and deliver routine maintenance materials for dealer systems publication Co-ordinate with internal teams and joint venture partners for delivery of service engineering prototype vehicles from global plant locations to a European site Calculate and maintain the service cost of ownership data to support launch activities Deliver Cost of ownership materials to support whole life cost and pre-sale events timing Manage special tool funding process Track compliance with service engineering standards and deliverables Report out on service deliverables, ensuring deliverables are planned and available on time Liaise with the program manager and product development team to ensure a serviceable design Maintain ongoing business relationship with joint venture partner personnel throughout the program Co-ordinate with the quality team on setting up the new model early warning process Post vehicle launch, monitor, track and report vehicle concern data Co-ordinate post launch queries from markets, manufacturing and other OEM activities Co-ordinate with engineering on identified service issues for resolution Co-ordinate dealer technical communications content

Status Reporting:






Facilitate regular scheduled status meetings Maintain a deliverable status report to be shared with OEM customer at mutually agreed intervals. Proactively communicate development status, co-authoring dates, and sign-off dates to Functional and Program champions and appropriate OEM personnel.

Proven ability to self-mange workload and maintain a workplan to ensure project deliverables are met



Proven ability to comprehend all technical content through previous work


Well developed ability to communicate effectively at all levels


Demonstrate the ability to be an independent and proactive actor in the interests of the project



Used to being flexible to the demands of the working environment



Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience
