Service Lead

\xc2\xa325,357 Per annum based on 7 hours per week

Fixed Term

We are looking for a Service Lead to join us in Ramsey to work on an exciting new pilot project between the British Red Cross, Ramsey Foodbank and supported by the Trussell Trust. A further aim is to see if we can reduce food poverty and reliance on foodbank support.

A day in the life of a Service Lead will involve:

You\'ll work in the community to help identify and address unmet social needs and this may include supporting people with more complex presentations including mental health, long-term conditions and potentially adverse traumatic experiences. The people you will work with are often suspicious of formality and offers of support, and your compassionate, authentic nature will help them access the support they need. You\'ll help to lower stigma within the community and change mindsets and behaviours by building strong relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.

To be a successful Service Lead, You\'ll need

  • Exceptionally strong ability to connect with other people - you\'ll be authentic, relatable and compassionate
  • A full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Understanding of how the system works and how to help people falling through the gaps.
  • Experience in person centred support planning and dynamic risk assessment.
  • Strength, resilience and courage, with a real appetite to help some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
  • An ability to think on your feet, with strong negotiation skills
  • Meticulous record

Due to the specific requirements of the role, there is a need to visit various locations, some of which may be remote with no access to public transport, therefore you must have access to a vehicle which you are willing and able to use in conjunction with your duties or be eligible for transportation via the Access to Work Scheme.
