Our amazing #TeamWaterfront are on the lookout for a new Service Lead to join them on a permanent full-time (39 hours per week) basis. It's an exciting time to join us as our services continue to evolve across the West Dunbartonshire area.



The Role





You'll become part of a supportive and dedicated management team providing coaching and mentoring to our Housing Support service in Garelochhead and our Community Support team across West Dunbartonshire.



Reporting to our Branch Leader, you'll lead your service, ensuring the delivery of high quality support and be committed to the continuous improvement of it. You will also work in partnership with our Service Leads and Lead Practitioners within the branch to ensure consistency and sharing of good practice. Part of this role will also involve taking on Registered Manager responsibilities too.



The Service



Our picturesque Waterfront service is a specialist housing complex for individuals with autism and other complex support needs. Our service comprises of five self-contained flats and other shared accommodation and is home to 9 people. There's never a dull moment at Waterfront; the people we support also love to get out in their local community, enjoying a range of activities, including attending college, swimming, boccia, going for walks and playing football. With such varying interests, no two days are ever the same.



The Community Support team support 65 individuals between the areas of Balloch and Clydebank. Supported people we support live either alone or with carers or guardians. We support them to go out in the community for shorter periods of time during the day or evenings. The service has three Lead Practitioners who oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of this.


As a Service Lead, you'll provide leadership to your team of Lead Practitioners and Support Practitioners ensuring that the people we support are encouraged to reach their full potential and live the life that they choose.

About you





It would be great if you already have your SCQF level 9 and PDA in management, however this isn't a deal-breaker for the right candidate. We are committed to the development of our colleagues and will invest in you by funding your qualifications through our Training Academy to meet SSSC requirements!

Shift patterns




Shift patterns will usually be worked Monday-Friday, however there may be occasions where we will need you to flexible to work evenings and weekends due to the needs of our services. On call duties on will also be a requirement on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
