Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
With experience working in a health or social care setting, you will have an upbeat positive manner, as well as having a genuine passion for supporting people to become a part of their local and wider community.
You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times.
In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England).
We are a bright and fun bunch of individuals.
Our ages range from 50-80
We all have our own struggles with physical mobility. We use wheelchairs and other equipment to help us in our daily lives.
Our team is trained in moving and positioning, emergency first aid and autism.

Our Home
We live in a detached bungalow in Kippax
We have a front garden with driveway and a back garden with a patio and lawn.
We have 4 individual bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower room, dinning room and kitchen.
The pride of the home is our train room where we have a full electrical train set with landscape.
The service is on a main road with buses running outside.
The neighbours are very friendly and everyone at the local shop knows us as we are always down there getting treats and essentials.
Other information
The service is staffed at 3 people per shift.
Day shifts run from 0700-1400 /1400-2100
We have a waking night from 2100 - 0700
Staff attend activities with individuals such as swimming, outings and driving to the seaside. Staff also attend holidays and family outings such as meals and parties.
Staff are required to have medication training, Moving and positioning training and Emergency First aid.
