Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ASHP Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out service and maintenance work on both our own installations and 3rd party systems, as well as snagging and remedial work on completed installs delivered by our company. Gas boiler installation experience is preferable.
This is a varied role that requires a self-motivated engineer with a strong technical background, great customer service skills, and the flexibility to travel throughout Wales.
Key Responsibilities
????o?????Carry out servicing, maintenance, and fault diagnosis on existing Gas boiler/ASHP systems.
????o?????Complete snagging and remedial work on systems installed by our in-house teams. Occasionally assisting with installations.
????o?????Ensure all work complies with MCS, manufacturer, and ECO4 scheme standards.
????o?????Record detailed job notes, photos, and service reports via Microsoft Teams Chats.
????o?????Communicate clearly with the office team regarding job progress, materials, and any follow-up work required.
????o?????Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site.
????o?????Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current ASHP systems and renewable technologies.
????o?????Travel across Wales, with occasional overnight stays where required.
Skills & Experience Required
????o?????Proven experience installing, servicing, and maintaining gas boilers and air source heat pumps (e.g. Grant, Mitsubishi, Samsung, LG, Vaillant, etc.)
????o?????F-Gas certification (advantageous)
????o?????NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent
????o?????Unvented hot water (G3) qualification
????o?????Good understanding of heating controls and system wiring
????o?????Full UK driving licence
????o?????Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
????o?????Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Desirable
????o?????Experience working within the ECO or renewables sector
????o?????Electrical qualification or understanding of system electrics
????o?????MCS experience or understanding of MCS compliance standards
