Job Purpose
Provide line management for staff under remit.
Contribute to high quality service delivery that meets the needs of service users.
Work closely with Head of Services to ensure that all areas of operational activity are delivered within organisational policy and with reference to organisational key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the functions of the organisation are delivered in line with the vision, aims, values and agreed performance objectives/key performance indicators.
Effectively provide day to day direction, supervision, support and motivation to support staff.
Undertake supervision and performance reviews as required.
Act as an ambassador for the organisation in recognition that this role may represent the first or only contact made by those you respond to.
Deputise for the Head of services, as requested.
Specific Duties
Operational Delivery
Lead the refuge and community-based support services to provide quality service that meets the needs of women and children accessing the services.
Line manage referral processes/staff and oversee appropriate allocation of referrals.
Conduct staff supervisions on a regular basis.
Prepare rotas to ensure adequate allocation of staff resources.
Ensure household supplies are processed for ordering in conjunction with finance team.
Collate necessary qualitative and quantitative data and prepare reports for external funders and organisational purposes.
Develop and maintain professional working relationships with external agencies from both statutory and voluntary sectors and contribute to meetings with such.
Liaise with Head of Services to respond to high risk, urgent actions and ensure women who need immediate safety/emotional support receive it.
Delivery of awareness talks/training to external organisations.
Promoting the organisation's self-help ethos both when working with women and in your own practice.
Coordinate and respond to crisis situations in a timely manner.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Help ensure the case management system, and all records are kept up to date in 'real time' in line with confidentiality and GDPR and funder requirements.
Conduct regular case reviews to ensure needs are met and to identify possible improvements in case recording and service delivery.
Complete monthly reports related to area of work and analysis of key performance indicators as required.
Ensure up to date and accurate data such as timesheets and training records are signed off for team under remit.
Assist in the collation of necessary statistical records as required.
Fulfil reporting responsibilities under your remit in relation to child and adult safeguarding.
Continuous Improvement
Develop multi-agency relationships to ensure the best integrated response to supporting and protecting women and children living with domestic violence.
Promote organisation at external events and on social media platforms.
Work in partnership with Senior Management Team to ensure project delivery and continual review, development and improvement of our services.
Contribute to annual training needs analysis and co-ordinate/plan all necessary support staff meetings and training.
Attend and contribute to all organisational team meetings.
Attend and prepare for own supervision and appraisal sessions.
Take responsibility for your own personal development and attend training as required.
