Job Title: Service Manager

About the role

We are looking for a switched on, hands on Service Manager to run the day to day operation of one of our busiest sites. This is not a clipboard and meetings role. You will be on the ground, controlling job flow, leading technicians, quoting customers, and keeping the wheels turning.

You will work directly with both retail and fleet customers, often across platforms such as 1Link, Holman and direct account portals, so attention to detail and communication is key. A solid mechanical understanding will make a real difference when planning jobs, quoting accurately, and speaking with confidence to customers and technicians.

What you will be doing

Allocate work and manage the daily schedule for the workshop Quote jobs clearly and professionally, explaining the work to customers Handle both retail and fleet bookings through phone, email and digital platforms Keep Garage Hive updated with accurate notes and job statuses Communicate with suppliers to get parts in quickly and confirm delivery times Prioritise urgent work and adjust the plan when the unexpected happens Support the front of house team with check ins, updates and handovers Oversee quality control including test drives and final job sign offs Take ownership of the daily output and customer experience

What we are looking for

Experience in a service advisor, workshop controller or similar role A solid understanding of vehicle systems, servicing and repair processes Familiarity with fleet systems like 1Link or Holman is a bonus Great communicator who can stay calm and make fast decisions Confident with digital job card systems like Garage Hive Respected by workshop teams and trusted by customers Willing to muck in and do what is needed to keep the day flowing
