Job Description

As a key member of the speciality leadership team, the post holder will be jointly responsible for the provision of safe, effective and efficient gastroenterology and endoscopy services, including:



Day-to-day management of all operational issues within Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.



Ensuring the effective delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.



Support the Speciality TRI [Clinical Lead, Matron and General Manager] in the delivery of Trust objectives and ensuring national targets are achieved.



For candidates who don't fully meet the person specification, the Trust would support the right candidate in offering this position as a developmental opportunity. During the development phase you would be remunerated as a Band 7 and would be supported through a set of agreed competentices based on experience, knowledge and skills.



It is essential that candidates have recent experience [last 2 to 3 years] of working in or with acute surgical [or medical] emergency and non-emergency patient pathways, as well as an ability to work with the full MDT.
