Salary: 35,000-40,000



Contract type:

Full time 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

To offer a trauma-informed, restorative approach that helps young people manage their behaviour, make informed choices, and take responsibility for their actions. Key responsibilities:



Ensure full compliance with OFSTED regulations for supported accommodation, The Children act 1989, including the quality standards, and all other relevant legal frame work.

Oversee all matters relating to child protection, ensuring adherence to safeguarding best practice.

Conduct regular compliance audits and ensure all services provisions are up to date with legislation and best practice.

Ensure operations meet the expectations outlined by OFSTED framework

Leadership and Team Management:



Provide strong leadership across all supported accommodation services, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

Coach and support workers to ensure high standards of care are maintained

Supervise and appraise staff, ensuring professional development through training, performance reviews and succession planning

Maintain open lines of communication with staff to create a collaborative support work environment that aligns with company values

Liaise with HR to recruit, train and retain high- preforming staff.

Oversee the daily operations using RMS solutions and company Cloud.

Service Delivery and Quality assurance:



Oversee the delivery of semi-independent supported accommodation services, ensuring the homes provide a caring, safe and welcoming environment for all residents.

Regularly evaluate service performance through quality assurance inspections, ensuring services consistently meet high standards.

Manage referrals and placements, working with local authorities and external agencies to maintain full occupancy across our homes.

Conduct service reviews and implement changes to enhance overall quality and effectiveness of the accommodation provision.

Actively manage and optimise referral processes to ensure effective placement of young people.

Take a hands on approach when necessary

External relationship and advocacy:



Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social services, police, education providers and other stakeholders.

Advocate for young people's access to community resources and ensure their voice is heard in shaping their care.

Represent Orsa Housing at public forums, promoting the organisation and our services.

Financial Management:



Work closely with the finance manager to manage the home resources effectively and ensure sustainability.

Qualifications and Skills required:



Essential:

Level 5 in Leadership for children and young people services( or equivalent)

Essential:

A minimum of three years' experience in managing semi- independent accommodation or children's home.

Essential:

In- depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations, safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Essential:

Proven track record in leadership, team management and service development.

Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Local authorities and social services.

Essential:

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
