service practitioner to support our evening sessions and lead our Sunday sessions.
Practitioners
lead in the delivery of the charities activities to children, teens and adults with additional support needs and neurodiversities of all ages and stages.
This includes person-centered, bespoke, therapy-based activities and support groups, to develop a young person led service maximising opportunities for social and personal development.
Working hours will be between 10-15 per week, your shifts will be fixed and given in advance with opportunity for additional hours.
We are looking for candidates who are creative, dedicated and organised - happy to lead a group as well as providing 1:1 support - who can bring their personality to the role.
Prepare, coordinate and run a structured activity on a weekly basis to children and teens
Lead our youth workers during sessions
Plan and respond to the needs of our families
Provide input to support and advisory services, signposting and service queries
Identify volunteer opportunities to integrate with service requirements including input to their training needs
Use appropriate operational systems for service recording and monitoring and administration
Work as part of a team to deliver sessions to a wide range of participants based on issues important to young people as agreed in planned services
Develop and sustain caring and trusting relationships with individuals and carers to gain maximum benefits from our services
Assist with the personal, social, and emotional development of young people, particularly young people with additional support needs who are most vulnerable in society
Work in a way which promotes confidence, personal development, leadership, and engagement through positive activities
Identify new opportunities and support young people in establishing supportive networks and peer-led initiatives to all for integration, participation, allowing for the all-inclusive ethos of our services ensuring activities are available to all service users that we support
To manage own performance and any staff / volunteers you may be responsible for in accordance with SensationALL's policies and procedures
Undertake hours on a fixed term basis to ensure adequate service provision, with some additional requirement for absence / holiday cover as required during peak times
