Shift Pattern:

Day shifts (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM) and/or Waking Night shifts (8:00 PM - 8:30 AM)

Sleep-ins:

Paid at 70 per night

Your Role as a Sessional Support Worker



As part of our dedicated residential team, you'll provide consistent, therapeutic support to young people in a nurturing environment.

You will:



Provide hands-on support, including personal care and daily living tasks. Build positive, trusting relationships that foster emotional development and confidence. Encourage personal, social, and emotional growth through structured activities and routines. Follow and contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies. Maintain a safe, nurturing environment during both day and night shifts. Keep accurate records and report any changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and professionals to provide joined-up support. Travel where required to support young people in different settings.

What You'll Bring



Essential:



Experience supporting children or young people (residential or similar care setting preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and positive relationships. Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine commitment to helping others. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Flexibility to work a structured rota including evenings, nights, and weekends. A team-focused, collaborative approach.

Desirable:



NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce. First Aid training. Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours. Full UK driving licence.
