What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
We are looking to expand our Sessional Team within our Acute Service but have relatively specific requirements. We are looking for people who can offer face to face sessions at our sites in Glasgow and Aberdeen. Successful candidates will be accredited and will have experience of dealing with Complex Trauma, ideally can provide EMDR. We are also seeking people who have DBT skills training and are comfortable working with Personality Disorders. You will be required to manage your own caseload, liaise with referrers, managing risk and keeping our Electronic Patient Record system up to date. We are very busy on certain days, so looking for people who are available Wed-Fri or can work in early evening (we are open till 9pm Monday - Thursday) Deliver high-quality, client-centered therapy sessions on a flexible, as-needed basis.
Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to support individual client goals.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with service standards and confidentiality policies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients across different settings

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered therapist with relevant experience in their specialty area. They should demonstrate strong clinical skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent time management. Experience in providing flexible, client-centered therapy in various settings is essential. Good communication skills and the capacity to maintain accurate records are also required. A commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards is expected.
