Job Description

We are a dedicated and talented team of textile product engineers, who design and manufacture bespoke textile products for a variety of different industries.

On a typical day, we could have over 250 different jobs all unique but all having a protective quality about them whether that's for people or valued assets.

Some of our recent projects have included carved oak gazebos for royalty, jet engine covers for commercial airlines, sled covers for expeditions to the north pole and safety beds for children with special needs. These are just a handful of the varied and interesting projects that we get commissioned to create on a daily basis by clients ranging from well established companies to private individuals all looking for a specialist textile solution that you can't buy in the shops.

Role Opportunity

We are looking for a Full-time Sewing machinist with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic and growing company based in Baildon.

Experience is good, but certainly not essential for the right candidate.

Description of Candidate

You are willing to learn new skills, have good attention to detail, and have a strong team spirit. Reliability, flexibility, good time keeping, and a positive attitude are essential. Good spoken English is also essential.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing products by stitching and welding together fabrics to a high standard and in accordance with company procedures. Maintaining good workshop practices by ensuring a safe, clean, tidy, hazard-free working environment. Providing accurate timings and participating in procedure refinement sessions. Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness by performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment. Communicating ideas, designs, improvements, developments, and discoveries to management. Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Lifting and carrying short distances of moderate to heavy weights Exposure to sharp tools, moderate noise. Manual and finger dexterity Near Vision and Visual Colour Discrimination Control of machinery using feet
