Position: Sewing Machinist

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Salary: 15.00 - 17.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday (day shift - exact hours to be confirmed at interview)

We are a well-established recruitment agency currently supporting a busy manufacturing factory based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, our client now has immediate vacancies for experienced Sewing Machinists to join their production team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled machinists who enjoy working in a fast-paced factory environment, producing high-quality sewn products. Full training on specific machines and processes will be provided where needed, and overtime is regularly available.

Key Responsibilities:

? Operating industrial single-needle, double-needle, and overlock sewing machines

? Sewing a range of components and finished goods to meet daily production targets

? Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards

? Following technical drawings/patterns and work instructions

? Maintaining a clean and safe workstation

? Working effectively as part of a team to achieve output goals

Skills & Experience Required:

? Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist in a factory/manufacturing setting (textiles, upholstery, bedding, automotive trim, or similar)

? Confident operating industrial sewing machines (flatbed, walking foot, overlocker, etc.)

? Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

? Ability to work at a consistent pace while maintaining quality

? Reliable, punctual, and keen to work regular overtime when required

? Own transport is preferred due to the factory location and shift patterns
