The Community Learning Disability Team are based in Mile End Hospital in Stepney, however we support adults with a Learning Disability across the entire borough of Tower Hamlets. We are a multi-disciplinary team of Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, SALT, Physiotherapists and Psychiatrists.


This is a really exciting opportunity to support the Community Learning Disability Team to implentment sex and relationship education sessions in small groups or on an idividual basis to people with learning disabilities. It will invovle triaging referrals into the project, liaising with professionals, people who draw on care and support and families, organising rooms and interpreters as needed. You will be required to co-facilitate groups with another member of the team.


You need to be confident and enthusiastic about supporting adults with learning disabilities who may need reasonable adjustments to understand and learn the skills to engage in positive intimate relationships. You will receive full training however experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities or other disabilities will be an advantage. You will be fully supported by the multi-disiplinary team within CLDS.
