As a Hastings based Shared Lives Officer you will work directly with adults living in Shared Lives placements and the providers of their accommodation and support - these are people with eligible care needs under the Care Act 2014 living with Shared Lives Providers in a typical household. Your responsibilities will include assessing both Providers and People for potential placements, undertaking support and monitoring visits, risk assessing, and reviewing. As part of the role you will be responsible for carrying out in-depth assessment of new providers and presenting assessments at independent panels. You will manage a caseload, supporting and enabling the continuous development of Shared Lives Providers to ensure the service they provide is of high quality and complies with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulation, achieving outcomes for both Providers and People in placements that support their well-being and continuous development.
You will be skilled in communication, assessment, liaising with other professionals and working both independently and as part of a skilled, high-performing and supportive team. The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office. You will be responsible for managing your own time in line with service need to ensure a high quality of service delivery.

Is able to work autonomously within a dynamic and fast paced team
Preferably has supervisory/management experience
