If you believe in a kinder, stronger society where everyone lives a full life regardless of the support they need, Hull Shared Lives is the team for you.

An exciting post has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work within the Hull Shared Lives scheme.

Hull Shared Lives is part of Hull City Council's Adult Social Care. The scheme provides opportunities for people who need support to live full and rewarding lives within the homes of Shared Lives carers by carefully matching carers with people who need support. It's a bit like fostering for adults and provides an alternative to supported living or residential care.

The successful candidate will undertake various duties, including:

Assess, recruit and arrange training for new Shared Lives carers. Ensure Shared Lives arrangements are managed safely and effectively. Monitor arrangements and support Shared Lives carers to provide the best possible outcomes for the people they care for. Provide a high quality and person-centred service. Offer people the opportunity to share an ordinary family life. Maintain and develop the person's independent living skills. Offer a more active lifestyle, where they get to contribute and enjoy new activities and experiences in a supported environment. Enable people to have their privacy supported in their home and life. Ensure people are given choices and the chance to make their own decisions.

This is an exciting time of development for Hull Shared Lives, and we would love to hear from you if you are committed to working collaboratively and have an interest in improving the lives of people with care and support needs.

This role is not available for sponsorship therefore is only open to applicants who have the right to work in the UK.

Please ensure that your application demonstrates how you meet the essential criteria against the person specification as listed in the job description.
