We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise metal components through various fabrication techniques. Duties
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
Operate TIG welding equipment and perform welding to join metal components accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials.
Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning and aligning parts to ensure optimal weld quality.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure their proper functioning.
Requirements
Proven experience in TIG welding, welding, and general fabrication processes.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Strong understanding of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes.
Ability to work accurately under time constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about metalwork and manufacturing to develop their skills within a supportive team environment.
