Armed with fresh thinking and an endeavour to improve service and outcomes in the world of fabrication, OnFab specialise in precision components for industries including commercial roofing, construction and broader fabrication markets.
We're a growing team passionate about quality craftsmanship and innovation, and we're looking for a talented Fabricator to join our workshop and help deliver exceptional results for our clients.
The Role:
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you'll play a key part in our production process, turning technical drawings into reality through skilled fabrication and assembly. This hands-on role offers variety, from one-off prototypes to batch production, in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate press brakes for accurate bending and forming of sheet metal components.
Perform MIG and TIG welding to high standards, ensuring strong, clean welds on various metals.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate parts with precision.
Finish and inspect fabricated items to ensure they meet quality and tolerance requirements.
Maintain an organised workspace and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the team and demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator, with 3 years in a similar role preferred.
Strong hands-on skills with press brakes, associated machinery and proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
Counter balance forklift license essential.
Ability to work from technical drawings and using tools like guillotines and rollers where needed.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to quality.
Right to work in the UK essential; relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication and Welding) are advantageous.
