SHELTERED HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER - PART TIME





We are looking for a Sheltered Housing Support Worker to provide a comprehensive floating support service for older people living in the Council's stock of sheltered accommodation across the city. The role is to support Independent Living by enabling Tenants to to maximise their independence in the community and remain safe in their own homes through advice, assistance and support.



The post holder will provide home visits to assess the support needs of tenants and potential tenants, undertake checks on premises to ensure that buildings and communal equipment/furnishings meet excellent standards of cleanliness, security and health and safety and to actively promote the use of communal facilities.



Installation and maintenance of Lifeline and other assistive technology equipment including programming and connection and explaining its use to individuals and carers and liaison with suppliers and other installers is also a requirement of the post.



The post holder should possess an appropriate NVQ Level 2 Qualification, have a current First Aid Certificate, Full Driving Licence and have previous experience in supporting
