Job Description

An excellent career opportunity has arisen for a Shift Engineer (Production) at Irvine plant. The successful applicant will preferably have worked within a production environment, dealing with the maintenance of production line equipment and have experience in I.S. Machine and engineering services maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair I.S. Machines and ensure that job changes are carried out efficiently.

Carry out checks on the I.S. Machines, hot end sprays and lubrication during the shift.

Identify faults with the machine during and after job changes.

Make necessary adjustments to the machine in order to run correctly, maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.

Required skills / qualifications:

Must be a Time Served Mechanical Engineer.

Have ability on all I.S. Machines equipment to set-up, adjust, repair, dismantle/re-assemble and diagnose faults.

Have basic welding, fabrication, and pipework installation experience.

An awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations

Basic understanding of the glass manufacturing process.

Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
