We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality and culinary sectors, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing staff, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining a productive work environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Manage team performance, providing guidance and support to enhance skills and efficiency. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the establishment. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of hospitality is maintained. Assist in training new staff members on food production techniques, service standards, and operational procedures. Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively. Excellent culinary skills complemented by knowledge of food safety practices. Experience in serving customers with a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality. Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork. Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
