We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and service staff during shifts to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with regulations. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations. Train, mentor, and develop team members in culinary skills, customer service, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience. Assist with scheduling staff shifts to optimise coverage during peak hours. Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food production. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development. Previous experience in kitchen operations or barista roles is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively. A background in hotel or catering services is desirable but not essential. A passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
