About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic and hands-on shift supervisor & social media content creator to join our team at Herriots Hotel & Rhubarb Restaurant. This unique role combines front-line hospitality leadership with creative content creation for social media platforms.

You'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience during your shifts, while also showcasing our food, atmosphere, and brand personality online.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's just as comfortable managing a busy evening shift as they are editing a 15-second reel. If you're ready to bring leadership and creativity to a vibrant hotel environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Supervision (70%)

Lead food & beverage service during assigned shifts (restaurant, bar, events) Support and motivate team members to deliver excellent service Ensure smooth shift handovers and accurate reporting Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance Assist with staff training and daily operations Covering reception duties

Social Media Content Creation (30%)

Capture engaging content (photos, videos, behind-the-scenes) on a smartphone/ iPad Create and post content to Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Highlight menus, seasonal offers, events, and team culture Collaborate with kitchen and management to align content with promotions Monitor trends and suggest creative ideas for social growth Track engagement and basic performance metrics

What We're Looking For

Experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or team leader role Passionate about service, presentation, and storytelling Active and knowledgeable about social media trends and content formats Comfortable with photo and video creation using a mobile device Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills Creative mindset with an eye for detail

Desirable but Not Essential

Experience using tools like Canva, CapCut, Lightroom, or Meta Business Suite Previous content creation experience for hospitality or lifestyle brands Background in marketing or digital media is a bonus

About Herriots Hotel & Rhubarb Restaurant?

Located in Skipton, North Yorkshire on the edge of the town, this operation has a 40-cover restaurant with bar, function suite for 100 and 25 bedrooms with an additional 5 in our Herriots House located next door to the hotel.
