Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a pleasant shopping experience while maintaining the overall appearance and organisation of the shop.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, providing knowledgeable information about products and services. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and displays are attractive. Process transactions accurately at the till, handling cash and card payments efficiently. Assist in receiving deliveries, checking stock levels, and managing inventory. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution. Promote special offers and new products to customers, enhancing their shopping experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable (multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply). Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if required.
