Wing Yip is one of the UK's most established suppliers of Oriental food products, serving both retail customers and the catering trade for over five decades. With four large retail sites and a nationwide distribution network, the business is supported by a team of more than 370 employees.
We are currently seeking committed and energetic Retail Assistants to join our Croydon branch.
Role Overview
In this position, you'll help keep the store running smoothly while delivering great service to our customers. The role is active and varied, suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy retail setting and values teamwork and adaptability.
Main Duties
Keeping the shop floor tidy, organised, and inviting
Restocking shelves and arranging product displays
Developing familiarity with products to assist customers
Working with fresh food items (meat, fish, vegetables)
Carrying out manual handling tasks, including lifting
Taking part in early morning duties (from 7:00 a.m.)
Working closely with team members to maintain store standards
About You
Retail or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential. We're looking for people who are:
Dependable, motivated, and positive
Comfortable working as part of a team
Able to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-moving environment
Available for weekend shifts and early starts
Cantonese or Mandarin speakers are welcome, though this isn't a requirement
