Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, with a preference for multilingual candidates who can engage effectively with a diverse clientele. The Shop Assistant will assist in daily operations, maintain the shop's appearance, and provide exceptional customer service.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring products are displayed attractively. Restock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the till. Assist customers in locating products and provide recommendations based on their needs. Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Participate in promotional activities and events as required.

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. A friendly disposition with a passion for helping others is essential. Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and inventory management.

Pay: 12.44-12.62 per hour

Expected hours: 12.30 per week

Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
