Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a well-organised shop environment, and assisting with various operational tasks. This role is essential in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting the overall efficiency of the shop.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including shelves, displays, and checkout areas. Restock merchandise as needed and ensure products are displayed attractively. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently at the till. Assist in managing inventory, including receiving deliveries and conducting stock checks. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Provide product knowledge to customers and assist them in making informed decisions. Address customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly.

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable for effective customer interaction. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain shop standards. Basic numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if required.
