Shop Assistant

to join our team at a specialist

Mobility Aid and Home Care Equipment Shop

- with additional support in our

busy bike shop

next door.

About the Role:

This is a varied and rewarding position combining retail service with light technical support. You'll:

Assist customers in selecting the right mobility and daily living aids (wheelchairs, scooters, walking aids, bathroom equipment, etc.) Offer product advice with sensitivity, empathy, and product knowledge Help with shop displays, stock management, and till operation Provide support in the bike shop during busy periods (serving customers, stock handling) Help with basic maintenance and setup of bikes, mobility scooters, and stairlifts (full training provided)

We're Looking for Someone Who:

Has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Is practical, hands-on, and comfortable with light mechanical tasks Is organised, reliable, and takes pride in keeping the shop tidy and well-presented Is eager to learn about both mobility and cycling equipment Ideally has retail or mechanical experience (not essential - we'll train the right person)

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Nice to Have):

Experience in mobility equipment, bike mechanics, or stairlift installation A full UK driving licence (for occasional deliveries or callouts)
