Overview

We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with daily shop operations, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic retail setting, supporting the smooth running of our shop. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner Provide information about products and services offered in the shop Operate the till system, process transactions accurately, and handle cash securely Restock shelves and maintain organised displays to ensure an attractive shopping environment Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and recording deliveries Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor and storage areas Support team members with various tasks to ensure efficient daily operations Engage with customers in multiple languages where applicable to enhance their shopping experience

Requirements

Excellent communication skills, both in English and Spanish (bilingual ability is preferred) Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour Ability to work well within a team and independently when required Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential Multilingual skills are considered a significant asset to better serve our diverse clientele

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
