Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SHOP ASSISTANT to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our shop runs smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the overall customer experience, from stock management, to maintaining cleanliness in the shop environment.

Duties

Serve customers promptly and courteously, answering any queries they may have. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the shop. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes. Perform basic mathematical calculations for order processing and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to create a positive working environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience in a retail shop is advantageous but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory checks are required. A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills is essential for interacting with customers and team members alike.

Pay: 7.55-14.00 per hour
