We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in food preparation with a level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or be willing to undertake the qualification once they take up the position.
You will be required to provide an excellent customer service, and offer a welcoming environment greeting each customer when they enter the shop. This position requires effective communication skills, a positive & friendly attitude, and the ability to work well with colleagues and customers alike. A passion for baking would also be preferable for this role.
The role is split between 2 areas of the shop, the deli counter & the coffee shop. Please be aware that the coffee shop is located on the mezzanine level of the store with a spiral staircase linking the areas therefore physical confidence is important.
Responsibilities
Greet every customer warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
Maintain an organised, clean and tidy shop environment.
Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed attractively.
Process transactions accurately at the till.
Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking as necessary.
Provide information about products and services to customers.
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.
Be confident to work independently
