We're a small family-run artisan bakery with a big passion for quality and customer service. We're looking for a reliable and energetic

Bakery Counter Assistant

to join our friendly team at ourWhitefriars Retail shop.

What will you need?

What the job involves:

As part of a tight-knit team, your daily tasks will include:

Serving customers with a smile and helpful attitude Able to recognise the different type of bread and help customer to help what to choose, based on their needs. Making Coffee Handling the till and processing payments Unpacking and checking deliveries Cleaning and maintaining the shop and our small warehouse clean and tidy Process small and simple orders for customers Contributing to the smooth running of the shop day to day. A small knowledge of computer is appreciated
We'll provide full training to make you confident in all areas of the bakery shop.

Once you're ready, you'll be an essential member of our team and able to work by your own.

What we're looking for:

A hardworking, energetic person who enjoys being around people Friendly, polite, and well-presented Able to work well both independently and as part of a team Willing to learn and take initiative Common sense and care when handling food Flexible and reliable - able to cover shifts when needed Able to start early (6.45am shifts)
