Shop Assistant - Asian Female Boutique

(Full-time & Part-time Positions Available - Immediate Start)

Overview

We are seeking friendly, confident, and organised Shop Assistants to join our team at an Asian female boutique. The store specialises in Asian women's clothing, and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about fashion, customer service, and creating a warm, welcoming shopping experience.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to assist customers confidently with styles, fittings, and outfit selections. Multilingual abilities--especially English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, or other South Asian languages--are highly desirable due to our diverse customer base.

This is a paid position, suitable for individuals who want to build their retail experience in a supportive and dynamic fashion environment. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with the opportunity to start immediately.

Key Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs Provide style advice and outfit recommendations tailored to customer preferences Help customers with size, fitting, and understanding fabric details Promote new arrivals, bestselling pieces, and special offers Maintain high visual merchandising standards to ensure the boutique looks elegant and inviting Handle customer enquiries in person and over the phone with professional phone etiquette Manage transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system (basic maths required) Keep the shop floor tidy, organised, and fully stocked Assist with deliveries, tagging, steaming, and organising the stockroom Support with boutique promotions, events, and seasonal launches Communicate effectively with customers and team members, ideally in multiple languages
Experience & Skills

Retail or customer service experience is helpful but not essential--full training will be provided Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi or other South Asian languages is highly preferred Passion for fashion, especially Asian women's clothing Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic maths skills for handling transactions Good understanding of merchandising and display standards Ability to upsell naturally and confidently Friendly, reliable, and comfortable working in a small-team environment
