We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while assisting with merchandising and maintaining an organised store environment.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.
Maintain an organised and visually appealing shop layout through effective merchandising.
Handle transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.
Employ upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases.
Manage stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations.
Demonstrate effective time management skills to prioritise tasks throughout the day.
Requirements
Proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills to maintain an orderly shop environment.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
Experience in merchandising is advantageous but not essential.
