Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee our workshop operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, supervising staff, and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to foster a positive working environment.

Responsibilities



Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule. Supervise and support a team of skilled workers, providing guidance and training as necessary. Maintain high standards of safety and quality throughout the production process. Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to optimise efficiency and productivity. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and workspaces to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Address any issues or conflicts within the team promptly and effectively. Prepare reports on production metrics, staff performance, and other relevant data for management review.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a workshop or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to workshop operations. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members at all levels. Proficiency in using various tools and machinery relevant to the industry is desirable.
