Shop Manager

to lead our vibrant charity shop in o

ur lovely SVP Charity Shop in the heart of Knaresborough

.

As Shop Manager, you'll be at the heart of our mission - maximising income to support the work of the

St Vincent de Paul Society (England & Wales)

while creating a welcoming, inclusive space for customers, donors, and volunteers alike.

What you'll be doing:

Leading the day-to-day operations of the shop with creativity and care Driving sales through excellent customer service, merchandising, and community engagement Recruiting, training, and inspiring a fantastic team of volunteers Managing stock, donations, Gift Aid, and online selling opportunities Ensuring the shop is a safe, clean, and joyful place to visit and work
What we're looking for:

Experience in retail management (charity retail a bonus!) A people-person with strong communication and team leadership skills Someone who's organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference Comfortable with basic IT and social media, and open to learning more A heart for community and a belief in the values of the SVP
