Ormskirk Market is an immersive indoor social space where people come to eat, meet and play - all under one historic roof. With six food vendors, a bustling mezzanine, a fully stocked bar, live music, sports screenings, and a buzzing weekend crowd, it's the perfect home for Freddie's fresh take on the classic ice cream shop.
The Role
As
Shop Supervisor
at Freddie's, you'll be the face of our parlour. You'll lead the day-to-day operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and maintain high standards of food hygiene, team motivation, and shop presentation. You'll work directly with management to help shape the Freddie's experience - from flavour ideas to merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the ice cream shop and supervise staff.
Maintain exceptional hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
Train and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
Manage stock levels, deliveries, and rotation of fresh and frozen goods.
Carry out temperature and allergen safety checks.
Ensure all equipment and fixtures are clean, safe, and operational.
Create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere for guests of all ages.
Handle customer queries and resolve any service issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of the parlour and prep area.
Monitor sales and support marketing and promotional initiatives.
Liaise with market management and report on performance and maintenance needs.
About You
Previous experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a food or hospitality setting.
Enthusiastic, organised, and comfortable taking initiative.
A natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Level 2 Food Safety and Allergen Awareness certification preferred (or willingness to complete).
Knowledge of HACCP and temperature recording procedures.
Positive, can-do attitude with a strong eye for detail and quality.
