Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during service hours.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low.
Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes based on seasonal ingredients.
Assist with training new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene in the kitchen.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customers' tastes.
Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends.
Driving licence essential
Friday/Saturday/Sunday morning shift required.
