We are seeking a skilled and reliable Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling blasting operations, ensuring the efficient removal of materials, and supporting fabrication and construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and safety procedures, with the ability to work effectively in a warehouse or construction environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and the use of power tools.
Duties
Prepare blasting equipment and materials according to safety standards and project specifications.
Operate blasting tools and machinery to remove coatings, paint, or other materials from surfaces.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to support fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assist with the installation and repair of structures through precise application of blasting techniques.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy during fabrication processes.
Collaborate with team members on construction painting projects and other related tasks.
Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Experience
Proven experience in warehouse operations, construction painting, or fabrication environments.
Mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to assembly or fabrication tasks.
Previous experience working with assembly lines or in construction sites is advantageous.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to blasting operations is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. This role offers a dynamic working environment where technical skills are valued, and safety is paramount. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
