The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the physical capability for heavy lifting. A valid commercial driving licence is desirable.

Duties

Perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials to meet project specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry, masonry, roofing, and other construction activities. Conduct general maintenance and repair work across multiple sites, ensuring safety standards are adhered to. Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to support construction or renovation projects. Apply masonry skills for bricklaying, blockwork, or concrete work as required. Carry out roofing installations or repairs with attention to detail and safety protocols. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment between sites. Follow technical drawings and plans to execute tasks accurately. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing, or related trades. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction settings. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings or plans. Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights or on scaffolding. Valid commercial driving licence (desirable). Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to construction environments. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to undertake varied tasks across different projects as needed.
