Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to undertake a range of construction, maintenance, and repair tasks across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in multiple trades, including welding, carpentry, masonry, and roofing. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with practical experience and a proactive attitude to contribute to diverse projects within the construction and maintenance sectors.

Duties

Perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials to ensure structural integrity. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs, installations, and fabrication work. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery or structural components. Conduct carpentry work such as framing, fitting, and finishing carpentry tasks. Carry out roofing repairs or installations with attention to safety standards. Undertake heavy lifting activities safely to move materials or equipment as required. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or personnel between sites. Execute masonry tasks including bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete work for building or repair projects. Assist in site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of tools and materials throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Proven experience in welding, carpentry, masonry, roofing, or related trades. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on-site in various weather conditions. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites is essential. Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks over extended periods. A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. All positions are paid accordingly for the work undertaken.
Job Types: Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: 26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 52.5 per week
