We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with both hand and power tools. As a Sign Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signage that meets client specifications while ensuring safety and efficiency in the production process. This role may involve heavy lifting, so physical stamina is essential.
Responsibilities
Design and fabricate various types of signs, including but not limited to banners, illuminated signs, and vehicle graphics.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to produce signage.
Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on signage solutions.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as required, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Applying vehicle graphics and a knowledge of vehicle wrapping would be an advantage.
Experience
Proven experience in sign making or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in sign production.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
