KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deliver tools, equipment, or documents between departments or field sites.
2. Transport SIM cards, routers, or other telecom hardware to installation sites.
3. Support engineers during site visits by carrying equipment or helping with setup.
4. Ensure technicians have the correct documentation (e.g., site access forms, installation guides).
5. Collect and return equipment from field locations.

8. Ensure timely delivery of urgent items or documents.
9. Maintain communication logs or delivery records.

TASK LIST
Deliver materials
Load, transport, and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to designated fibre build teams across various work sites
Ensure timely delivery to maintain project schedules and avoid delays in fibre installation and civils work
Handle deliveries with care to prevent damage or loss of sensitive equipment (e.g. fibre reels, joint boxes, ducting).
collect materials from depots, suppliers, or storage facilities as instructed by the build supervisor or warehouse team.
Maintain records
Maintain records of materials delivered and collected, ensuring correct quantities and item types
Log daily activities, daily records and fuel usage
Communicate with key departments on stock usage
Communicate with warehouse and site managers to report shortages, excess, or damaged goods.
Provide on-site support
Provide on-site support to engineers and civils teams by delivering additional tools or emergency items as needed
Assist with unloading and distribution of materials safely at the work site.
Collect used or excess materials and return them to base or approved disposal/recycling points
Operating company vehicles
Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic laws, site access protocols, and company driving policies
Use mapping tools or GPs systems to navigate efficiently between sites and avoid delays
Vehicle checks
Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, lights, fluids) and report any faults or required maintenance
Keep the delivery vehicle clean, roadworthy and stock with necessary PPE and transport materials e,.g. straps pallets
Health & Safety
Follow health and safety procedures when loading/unloading or entering construction zones
Report any accidents or near misses and complete appropriate documentation
Flexible to support needs of Alncom
Support the smooth running of fibre builds by being a reliable link between stores and on-site teams.
Assist in other basic site tasks when required and permitted, such as traffic management or moving small loads
Required
2 years driving experience
Full clean driving licence
C1E essential
CSCS and Telecoms experience preferred
