Job Description

Our client, Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to work on a 13 million highways project in Bristol - the project is a highways scheme and will including junction improvements, drainage and resurfacing.

Key responsibilities



Core site engineering responsibilities, including precise setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points. Deliver key elements of external civil works, such as pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards. Operating Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment for accurate spatial data capture and layout, supporting high-precision construction. Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors and site team. Manage the full project cycle of assigned tasks from site setup to final handover and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, contributing to safe and efficient on-site execution.

Experience required



Experience as a Setting out engineer Must have worked on civils / highways schemes HNC/HND/Degree in civil engineering would be beneficial
