The Role



An opportunity has arisen for a

Site Engineer

to join our Environment Business. Ideally based in or around

Cambridge

, you will travel across multiple sites and projects within the

South Staffs Water Framework

, delivering schemes of varying sizes in the Water Industry.


In this role, you will provide setting-out and engineering support on site. You will coordinate engineering control and setting-out activities and provide technical information to operatives and subcontractors to help deliver works safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.


What You Will Be Doing



Provide accurate setting-out and engineering control on site Coordinate engineering activities to support successful construction delivery Complete daily site diary records, including photographs and supporting evidence Conduct material reconciliations and ensure surveying equipment is calibrated and fit for purpose Carry out as-built surveys and create accurate 2D and 3D drawings/sketches Support quality processes including record keeping, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Maintain accurate as-built records throughout delivery Assist in planning, monitoring and programme updates for site works Support innovation and continuous improvement by identifying new processes, technologies and techniques Promote and uphold a positive Health, Safety & Environment culture across site

About You



We are looking for someone who has:


Essential:



Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data Working knowledge of standard setting-out techniques and experience using Level and EDM (GPS knowledge desirable) A flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills CSCS and SMSTS (or willingness to work towards - training can be provided)

Desirable:



Previous experience in the Water Industry or Civil Engineering sector Experience working on site and familiarity with construction quality processes Personal attributes we value:
