Job Description

The RC Frame Engineer will be responsible for the effective planning, execution, and control of reinforced concrete frame works utilizing slipform construction techniques. This role requires strong technical competence, precise attention to detail, and the ability to manage quality, safety, and programme requirements on a fast-paced site.

The engineer is expected to have

proven experience working with slipform systems

, including setup, monitoring, and continuous progression of formwork. A high level of

proficiency in setting out, levelling, and surveying

is essential to ensure verticality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy throughout the slipform process.

A key responsibility of the role is the

interpretation of construction drawings, specifications, and method statements

, with particular emphasis on

reinforcement detailing

. The engineer must demonstrate

exceptional attention to detail when reviewing reinforcement layouts

, including bar sizes, spacing, laps, couplers, openings, and interfaces, ensuring full compliance with structural design and constructability requirements.

The engineer will play a central role in

quality assurance (QA)

, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project quality standards. This includes inspecting reinforcement prior to pours, coordinating sign-offs, managing QA records, and addressing non-conformances promptly.

Strong

time management and planning skills

are critical, as slipform operations require continuous coordination of labour, materials, concrete supply, and inspections to maintain programme targets. The engineer must proactively identify risks to progress--particularly those related to reinforcement readiness or design clarifications--and implement mitigation measures to avoid delays.

The role also requires a strong commitment to

health and safety

, ensuring that slipform and reinforcement works are carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures, method statements, and statutory requirements.

Engineers who consistently demonstrate a high standard of workmanship, attention to detail, and professional conduct will be considered for further works and continued engagement on future projects

, subject to performance and project requirements.
