Summary
We are seeking hands-on, experienced and motivated
Site Forman with previous experience building Temporary Structures
to join our team to oversee the on-site build and de-rig of temporary structures, working to client build specifications, strict schedules and site rules. You will manage all site operatives to ensure projects are delivered safely and on time, by coordinating and assigning tasks efficiently, resolving any build or re-rig conflicts proactively, reporting progress to the Project and Construction Managers and documenting works. . What will you be doing
Construction
Supervise daily build and de-rig activities and ensure compliance with project plans, schedules and specifications
Plan and assign tasks according to project priorities and skill level
Identify and resolve any work schedule conflicts and proactively finding solutions to ensure the schedule and timings are not impacted, reporting any shortcomings to the PM/CM
Coordinate with the Resource Coordinator, CM and PM to ensure the smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
Ensure works are carried out to MUTA guidelines and signed off by the client for both build and de-rig and electronically returned to the H&S manager
Actively participate in project meetings and provide detailed progress updates
To ensure safe loading of lorries for return to the yard and reporting of damaged materials
Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
Leadership
Lead and motivate site crews, ensuring optimal productivity and teamwork
Conduct regular 1:1's and performance review, developing and training team
Highlight any skill gaps or performance issues and seek support to address issue
Ensure site inductions are completed accurately and on time
Verify the site crew timesheets and sign them off daily.
Manage and report absences, ensuring return-to-work meetings are conducted and documented in correct manner
H&S
Champion H&S regulations and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Ensure that safe working practices are communicated to all of the on-site team and are strictly adhered to at all times
Ensure that the site crew/agency workers wear appropriate Personal Protective Clothing and that equipment is operated as per the company safe guidance while on site
Report all accidents and near misses immediately to the H&S manager and to the construction manager
Ensure all build and de-rig site inductions are completed by site crew and agency staff, signed and electronically returned to the H&S Manager
Inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to ensure safety and quality standards are met
Provide 'Tool Box Talks' at the beginning of all projects and on the introduction of new staff site inductions throughout the assignment

What you'll need
Previous experience building and dismantling Temporary Structures
Strong leadership and team management skills and proven experience leading teams on-site
Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
A valid UK Driving Licence (Essential!)* CSCS Card
A Forklift Licence
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and Health & Safety regulations
